Sofie Hooper

Head of Policy

IWFM

Biography

Sofie leads on the IWFM’s wider policy and public affairs work, helping to raise the voice of the Institute, its members and the wider workplace and facilities management sector. She translates best practice into policy objectives and engages with stakeholders to ensure best practice is taken on board and any concerns affecting workplace and facilities professionals are mitigated.

She covers a wide range of IWFM activities, from skills, impact on society, making better workplaces to challenges of the profession, informing members and external audiences of what matters to the profession, with a view to shaping the political and regulatory environments through external representation at UK and global level.

Coming from the world of consultancy, Sofie has significant experience in developing and implementing public affairs strategies for a wide range of clients including national and international trade associations and alliances as well as corporate clients.

At IWFM, Sofie works closely with members, in particular the special interest groups (SIG), to identify key issues and messages to be taken to government and other external stakeholders relevant to the wider profession.
