Biography
Paul Lacey is a director and joint owner of P&M LEV Specialists Ltd since its formation in July 2019. Prior to this Paul worked for a mechanical services company where as head of the LEV department he designed, supplied, installed and maintained local exhaust extraction systems in all industrial, educational and commercial sectors for over 20 years.
Paul has vast experience in accessing processes and the hazards therein which require engineering control (LEV) and ensuring the appropriate LEV system is correct and fit for purpose.
Paul has extensive experience in understanding the hazards that need to be controlled which is crucial in ensuring that the appropriate engineering control (LEV) design is capable of achieving its objective.
Paul is a member of the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) and the Occupational Society of Ireland and has been at the forefront of compliance for LEV control throughout his career and has gained accreditations from BOHS in LEV system design P602, LEV commissioning P604, thorough examination and testing of LEV systems P601, PPE specification P603 and basic principles of occupational hygiene W201.
These BOHS proficiency accreditations demonstrate Paul’s thorough understanding of LEV controls, operator routes of exposure, hazard identification and requirements both ergonomically and practically of any engineering control employed.
