Biography

Elspeth Grant specialises in strategic access and egress solutions for disabled people, working closely with architects, fire engineers and end clients.  She has been involved with disabled people in both a professional and voluntary capacity for most of her working life in addition to working for BT as a project manager delivering major programmes such as Command Management Systems for London Underground where safety systems are paramount.

Elspeth is a qualified fire risk assessor and for the past ten years, Elspeth has focused on access and egress strategic solutions for disabled people from complex environments such as high-rise accommodation.  Elspeth is regularly invited to present on the subject of evacuation of disabled people and writes regularly in the FM.
